Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join the Program and Events Department for a part-time (20 hours per week) internship for Summer 2024. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience and professional development opportunities in foreign policy programming and event implementation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly departmental meetings; help conceptualize and implement programming and events initiatives
  • Attend MEI policy briefings, private roundtables and public events
  • Write event write-ups and summaries for distribution
  • Assist with events-related research and outreach

Educational Objectives:

  • Gain practical experience in event planning and implementation.
  • Develop skills in high-level event coordination, strategic outreach, and communications
  • Enhance research skills through drafting of policy briefing materials and event summaries
  • Develop analytical and communication skills through correspondence drafting 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled or recent graduate (within 6 months) from a Bachelor’s program in international relations, political science, Middle East studies, or similar. Strong and demonstrated  interest in the Middle East.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills
